What is Obesity?

Obesity are overweight problems that are defined as not normal and overweight accumulation that is a risk to health and might lead to death. To measure how serious your condition is, we use BMI (body mass index) to measure a person’s weight and divide them by the square of their heights in metres. If they reach 30 or more measured by a
external image moz-screenshot-1.pngBMI, then the person is considered to have obesity while a BMI of 25 or more is equal to overweight. If in serious condition, it can increase the possibility of various types of disease like heart attacks, cancer, breathing problems etc.


What is the common scientific name of this disease?
There is no scientific name or term for it and it has been referred to Obesity by doctors and people around the world.

What causes obesity?
Lack of sports or physical activities and absorbing a huge amount of food energy into your body is the scientific explanation behind to how obesity is caused. There are only a limited cases to why this is caused genetic, medical reasons and the illness. The increasing number of the obesity population is mainly due to people consuming too much fat and lack of going on diets this can also cause other similar kinds of illness.

What are the symptoms? How long do they last? Is it brutal?
This kind of disease can affect your appearance by letting your body gain lots of weight. There is no limit to how long this symptom can last unless you start working out. Since that this disease can affect your body and can increase the probability of illness increasing, in this case, this is a really brutal situation. Obesity makes it really hard for people to exercise. If they do, they will always run out of breath and feel very tired.


Can it be cured? If so, how? If not, is there any way that we can at least treat it?

It is pretty rare to see people obese to be cured but there are certainly many ways for patients like them to have a treatment. Examples, diets, warm up exercises, weigh loosing programs, medication (pills etc.) and bariatric surgery. Going on a diet generally improve certain parts like the low fat, low carbohydrate and low calorie. Exercising mainly reduces the fat in your body and consume their energy. For example running, cycling, jogging are the most greatly affective types of work outs that reduces body fats. To maintain health, he American Health Association recommended all the people around the world to go through a minimum of light exercises five days a week. Weigh loosing program, is where people promote lifestyle change and diet modification to persuade people to do all the treatments for obesity that helps keeping yourself healthy. Bariatric surgery are required for patients who have a BMI of 40 or more and who fail at the treatments from the weigh loosing programs. It tends to prevent obesity or stops the number of your BMI to increase.
