Chicken Pox - Ruth Ng 9.5


Questions:
1) The common and scientific name of the disease.
2) What causes it?
3) What are the symptoms? How long do they last? Is it deadly?
4) Can it be cured? If so, how? If not, is there any way that we can at least treat it?

Answers to the questions above:
1)The scientific name for the Chicken pox is the Varicella Zoster. But actually, there is not really a scientific name for Chicken Pox. It is mostly just called Chicken Pox.

2) Chicken pox was caused by the VZV, which its full name is varicella-zoster virus. This virus comes when you are having very low body resistance, and that somebody around you have Chicken Pox.

3) Chickenpox is red, itchy skin rash that most of the time, it is found on the back, face or abdomen. Chicken Pox last about 2 to 4 days. No, Chickenpox is not a deadly diseases.

4) Yes, Chickenpox could be cure by a medicine that is called antiviral medicine, which is give by the doctor. This medicine makes the Chickenpox not that severe, but this medicine must be give in between 24 hours after the rash have come out.
